Halloween week is the most social stretch of the year in South Lake, and the calendar between now and November 1 is packed. A fall street festival lands downtown this weekend, the trail turns into a trick-or-treat run on Tuesday, and Halloween day itself caps it all with the biggest festival Clermont runs all year. Here is the full local lineup.
This weekend: Suntoberfest takes over downtown
Suntoberfest runs Saturday and Sunday, October 24 and 25, in downtown Clermont, the fall street festival that turns Montrose Street into a block party. Expect vendor tents, live music, food, and the lake right behind the action. It is a free, walk-around festival, so the best move is to park once and spend the afternoon.
Sunday farmers market, as always
The Downtown Clermont Farmers Market keeps its year-round rhythm on Sunday, October 25 from 9 AM to 2 PM on W. Montrose Street, hosted by Clermont Main Street. Pick up produce and a coffee, then loop the lake before the crowds of next weekend arrive.
Scaremont: Halloween on the Trail
Tuesday, October 27 brings Scaremont to Waterfront Park from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, hosted by the Clermont Police Department and the City of Clermont. Costumed kids work a trail full of trick-or-treat stations, there is a costume contest, and it is the safe, early run at Halloween that South Lake families count on.
Halloween eve: Trunk or Treat and BOO! Fest
Friday, October 30 is the double feature. Groveland runs Trunk or Treat at Lake David Park, and Tavares follows with BOO! Fest the same night. Both are free, family-first events, and together they are the perfect warm-up before the 31st.
Halloween day: the Clermont Harvest Festival
Saturday, October 31 is the big one. The Clermont Harvest Festival takes over downtown from 10 AM to 4 PM at 752 W. Montrose Street, hosted by Clermont Main Street and presented by Orlando Health South Lake Hospital. Expect 100-plus vendors, food trucks, live music, a kid zone, a pumpkin patch, and costume contests for people and pets. Free to get in.
Minneola's Safe Night Out
Minneola holds its Safe Night Out Halloween family event on Saturday, October 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, a community gathering hosted by the City of Minneola that gives kids a safe, neighborhood-based trick-or-treat evening to close out the day.
Farms and theme parks round it out
Southern Hill Farms keeps its Fall Festival rolling on select days through November 22, so the corn maze and pumpkin patch are still on the table after Halloween. If you want the big-production version, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida runs through November 1, and Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom wraps its final nights on October 31.
The market angle
The Halloween stretch is the most visible week of the year in South Lake, and it is a good reminder of what the area sells: a calendar that fills up, neighborhoods that know each other, and farms and parks five minutes from home. Buyers who tour this week get to see Clermont at its liveliest, and sellers get to show a town that is easy to love.
