For relocating families, the school district is usually one of the first filters. The cities Kelly serves fall into three public school districts, each organized by county.
Lake County Schools serves Clermont, Minneola, Groveland, Mascotte, Leesburg, and Tavares. Orange County Public Schools, one of the largest districts in Florida, serves Winter Garden, Ocoee, and Orlando. Polk County Public Schools serves Davenport.

Toll roads, including 429, 408, 528, and the Turnpike, are part of most cross-town commutes.
